DENHOLM SHIPPING Seatrain

My Father was a chief Steward from Benbecula then Glasgow , with Denholm shipping And sailed The Seatrain route New york Baltimore Norfolk etc .sailed with him 2 times was Fantastic to be so young and explore a ship from top to bottom !! He passed away in 1977 while at sea .Just curious about the names of vessels he sailed on ..

Hello Michael.

I believe your Dad was Duncan Campbell, and I remember sailing with him, I think on one or the other of the Seatrain ships.

Good Chief Steward and a good shipmate. Am I right in saying he passed away on one of the sulphur boats - Nordic Louisiana or Nordic Texas?

Yes that was my Dad .. I know nothing about what ship he was on only that he was buried at sea 120 miles off Bermuda point ? Trying to gather anything I can ... Thank You for all replies . It is very heartwarming .

The name Duncan Campbell rings a bell but not sure if we ever sailed together.

Maybe in one of the Denholm magazines I had occasion to search through
recently.

We are now on a campsite in the middle of France at the moment. When we
get home will have a look through and get back.
