why still sd

can someone tell me why these boats still have sd on them as denholm are no longer involved .{or so i believe}.

I think it was felt that there would be too much hassle to rename them again.

Someone said SD now stands for Serco Defence, but apparently that was denied and Serco stated it just stands for SD.

Nice one Pat. At one time SD was supposed to stand for Serco Defence. They were going to use SMS, as in SMS NEWTON. I commented that we would become a text message, went over the top of the senior manager head, missed by a few thousand feet I think.

how difficult would it be to paint over the D on every boat ? its not rocket science. or is it ?
