hi does anybody hav the history of the denwick head?it was built after the 2nd world war i think..please help me some1 thanx barry...anymore info or pics any1 please???

I have a build date of 1947. Owned by AF Henry & Macgregor of course. Someone with access to sources will expand this out considerably very shortly I think

The only information I can add is 2,006GT, 279' x 41', single screw, 3exp, 10 1/2 knots.

Denwick Head built 1947 completed by J Crown & Sons Ltd, Sunderland as the INGWI for Rolf Wigand, Bergen. Purchased by Henry & MacGregor in 1955 and renamed Denwick Head. (O.N. 186638). 'Fraid I don't have any history after 1957.
She was the second to bear the name for H&M the other being built in 1923 for Spillers SS Co Cardiff, as the Wheatbake (263g O.N. 145730), purchased by H&M in 1933 and renamed Denwick Head. 1946 Sold to Lochbroom Trading Co Ltd and r/n Moorfield. 1948 Sold to Mac Shipping Ltd Glasgow. 1955 Sold for breaking up

She was renamed Tulipa 63,Alec 67.Broken up in 1971 afraid don't have any details as to where.

joined denwick head feb 1959 did three trips up the baltic with coke
signed on so shields paid off north shields never saw or heard of her
again(thankgod)
