Does anyone have info on a collision that took place in the 1960's involving one of the T-class of German built turbine ships under pilotage at New York.
Capt Hamilton was the Master and I recall that the general opinion within the company was that he had been treated very badly by both the authorities and the company.
I believe the damage to her bow was such that a flat triangular shaped plate was fitted - giving her a rather blunted nose, and she sailed back to Europe to affect permanent repairs.
