Hello all,
Can anyone explain me why some Cunard's are [were] white while others still black?
I saw some attachments and there are many Cunard's in white suits.
Sorry the most likelly dumm question...

I think those painted white were when they were cruising.
The Caronia was at one time......YUK............Pea Green. I don't know if she was that color all of her life though.

On the Caronia(2) site it says she had the largest funnel ever fitted to a ship, what about the Pasteur? The funnel acted like a sail which made it difficult to dock her.

When I last saw her in New York (1975, under arrest, and no one paying harbour dues) she was still green.....

QE2 also finished up at one time painted light grey and I think her boot topping also had a spell of blue. And we must not forget that her original funnel colour was white and black!
