The end for JG Kincaid

Again,not so much a ship but a place closely associated with shipping.This was taken in July 2002 as the demolition men moved in at the former Greenock works of JG Kincaid and Co.,manufacturers of ships' engines for many years.
The entrance to the former Greenock Dockyard is behind the lorry,this area now a large roundabout and MacDonald/s restaurant locally known as CLAN MACDONALD!!
To the left is the site of Scotts' shipyard,now the site of a hotel and a bank mortgage centre amongst others.

Very sad. My dad worked there from the 30's to the 50's and again in the 60's/70's.
