6th Submarine Flotilla-Blyth

Can anyone tell me if there was ever a history written of the 6th Flotilla in WW2.

I was told that one was written several years ago, but have never ever found any trace of it.

Since Blyth was a major training and operational base in both wars,it would seem that someone would have had an interest in recording its history. But try as I might, I just can't find one.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Joe.

Joe,

There is an unofficial history of the 6th submarine flotilla, titled

"Fight and Abide Fortune: the Story of the Blyth Submarines" by Pamela Armstrong. It's an unpublished manuscript, but I have never seen it.

Kind regards,
Visje
