I am interested in information and /or photographs of ss Adamton. Ship No. 119959 owners J Cory and Sons of Cardiff (Seville and United Kingdom Carrying Company). Registered Cardiff 1904. 2304 gross tons 295.2ft / 46 / 19.2. Sunk by U-boat 8th April 1916 near island of Tiree. On that voyage she had been carrying coal to the Home Fleet at Scapa Flow but in 1915 had made a number of trips to Seville , presumably taking coal out - I would be interested to know what the backhaul cargoes were. Some crew agreements listed at National Archive Kew and at the Memorial University of Newfoundland Marine Archive
