Barclay Curle was to BI as Connell was to the Ben Line.

For 14 months I was Chief Officer Ozarda, recall one of the seaman, on a stage over the starboard bow, putting his chipping hammer through into the forepeak, the vessel was then 30 years old.

The photograph must have been taken on one of the ship's very few, or only return to the UK, during her BI lifetime. Does anyone know when the pic was taken?

Hi Tom,
Sorry, I didn't date the photo but must have been early 1970's.

The tug visible in the picture is the Sun 27. I think she got that colour scheme in 1973, and a couple of years or so later she lost the aft monitor/mast.
