On my second trip I was sole deck apprentice on the Maturata (although there was an acting 4th Mate) and climbed a hill in Vizag to photograph the ship with my trusty box camera. She was a relatively new and very happy ship and I have a fairly detailed list of the crew. I would love to know what happened to them and wonder how many of you remember them. Unfortunately I don't have all their initials - perhaps second trippers weren't privy to such details:

Capt: H Kinley (Magic Circle) C/O: J Lyle 2/O: ? Guthrie 3/O: T L Norris
4/O: Neil Harper (2) 4/O: R A Evans
Chief Eng: T Jones 2nd Eng: W Wood 3rd Eng: J Walker
4th Eng: W Brown J4th Eng: J Whyte 5th Eng: ? Stephens
Elec: B Tonge (2) D Whitehead
Ch Steward: B Todd (2) J Kehoe 2nd Steward: B Rimmer
Chippy: W C Morrice
QMs: Dai James P Jepsom R Thompson ?MacLean

I remember doing the same thing on "Makrana" with another apprentice.
A snake appeared in front of us up the hill and we came down a bloody sight quicker than we went up!!!
