Any of you ex Cunnard engine room lads remember a wee bloke went by the handle of Tinker on the Mary , dont think there was anyone knew them,Yarrows better, he was always covered in soot worked on the maintenance of the boilers all the time ,2nd eng/r phillip's (If my memory is correct)right hand man.

Sorry R58484956 I dont think I ever knew his first name It was always Mr Phillips or 2nd ,he was the walking 2nd in charge of the boiler rooms when I was on her, I got on very well with him,for green hands he would always take the time to explain whatever it was he wanted doing,
