MARIA ASUMPTA was a regular in London Dockland's prior to her demise when she would winter in the West India Dock and undertake repairs.

Seen as CIUDAD DE INCA and operated by the China Clipper society, she was photographed outward bound at Tilbury (UK) on the 6th July 1982 at the start of a UK circumnavigation voyage.

I sailed for a time on this ship in 1986 in Canada, across the Atlantic in 1987 and for a few days again off of England in the early 90's. I heard this boat sank in Cornwall. Can anyone tell me what exactly happened to the captain and crew?
