In 1941 The tanker Crierfields was sunk off the Norfolk coast by a U boat. All hands perished, including a relation of mine. At that time he was sailing on loan from the Cairn Noble Line, as second engineer on her. Does anyone have any information of the incident. Records are scarce.

Huntings didn't own a ship of that name, are you referring to the "Creofield"? She was a coastal tanker of 838 dwt tons and on 1 February 1940 disappeared off Yarmouth, being lost with all hands on passage Southend to Middlesborough. She is believed to have been mined.
