There is a picture of a 'Scotstoun' in the Gallery, but that dates to the sixties:

There was a motor tanker SCOTSTOUN built by Chas. Connell at Scotstoun, engined by Barclay Curle for Falkland Shipowners Ltd ( J & J Denholm). Of 12723 grt - about 19000 dwt., she was sold and renamed NORTH EARL in 1962 and broken up in 1977.
Just to add to the confusion the same builder built an 11457 grt general cargo ship of the same name and for the same owners in 1963

thanks all for your info specially photo ex 2nd engr mt scotstoun knowconnels yard well it was beside barclay curles north diesel engine works where i served myapprentice as marine fitter
