HAPAG general cargo ship on the container run in the interim period in the early 70s(this in 1973) when the general cargo ships were being used prior to the introduction of purpose built ships.
This was taken as she left the then fairly new container terminal at Greenock.Her name was continued in the new container ship ALEMANNIA EXPRESS of later years.

ALEMANNIA was the first of a seven sisters built in Germany 1965.
She become BOLIVIA in1979 and scrapped end 80s.
