I Would Be Very Grateful If Any Of The Members Had A Photo Of
The Hopper Barge W.d.cressington They Could Send Me.
She Worked For Westminster Dredging On The Mersey After Being
Bought From The British Transport Commission And Later Went
On To Become The Stad Weesp Before Being Finally Scrapped.
I Saw Her On The Mersey And Unfortunately At The Time Did Not
Have A Camera On Me.

Thanks And Best Wishes

She was involved in a collision in the approaches to the River Mersey in 1970 and sank as a result. I seem to remember that there was a casualty. You could see her lying half submerged from New Brighton & Crosby

She was raised by a huge floating crane from either Germany or Holland and went into Cammel Lairds where she was repaired and subsequently sold to Westminster Dredging.
