I first saw the film "Captains Courageous" many moons ago as a youngster. I've seen it a few times since, and always enjoy it. Freddie Bartholomew, who played the young "spoiled brat",got rave reviews for his role in the film.
Don't know what year the film came out(think 1940's),but it's an oldie.

Yep, that was a great film. I heard that that movie, after it was done in theaters was the very first feature-length film shown on coast-to-coast network television in the early days of American broadcast tv.

John Huston's "Moby Dick" is also a great film. The Sea Chanteys are excellent, particularly "Hill And Gully Rider" and "Heave Away".(Thumb)
