I am a Glasgow boy, born and raised to the sound of rivetting guns and shipyard sirens, all of which, sadly, now silent. My late father was a Merchant Seaman. It was expected that I would follow him to sea but circumstances forced otherwise and I became a soldier. However, many years of small yacht ownership have helped me keep my love of the sea. Big ships have always fascinated me and that is why I find this site so interesting. |
