The German steamer GUNTHER RUSS, 64m/998gt/9,3knots; 10/1921 completed by Vulcan Stettiner Maschinenbau A.G. Stettin for Ernst Russ & Co., Hamburg; 1945 seized by Allies; 1945 EMPIRE CONDORRAT, MOWT; 1947 KENTON, Whitehaven Shipping Co., Whitehaven; 1950 GUNTHER RUSS, Ernst Russ & Co., Hamburg; 1957 scrapped in Hamburg. She was the first German ship entering the Douro bar, Oporto, hoisting the actual German flag (RFA) on the 04/03/1951 chartered to DDG Hansa, Bremen, which flag replaced the post WW2 metallic flag imposed by Allied Control.
