Think youre right - far right was deckie.

2nd left was 2nd Eng - not Chief.

I was cadet (3rd right) when started on Essex in 1970 - remember my 21st birthday - Bruce McFarlane the Chief gave me watch off - just as well had broken tiebolt that night - left Essex in 1972 - wish I hadnt as ended up on Hurunui.

always remember the days on Essex though.

You know what, although I am on the left, I have absolutely no recollection to the picture being taken.
Cheers

Hi Awy,
I do remember your face quite well now.
Do you have anymore pics? I would love to see them.

Hi Colin,

Digging my way through some slides - have put another one on - dont suppose anyone can forget sweary.

In the photo of day out to Queenstown shoulndt be too difficult to guess Brendan O,Donahue or "Ruthers".

I cant remember either the photo being taken - but I seem to recollect we were in Gisbourne about the time the bow was damaged.

Had to cut off the bottom of this one. George Findlay was not suitably attired.

Got some more - put them on later.

Greetings after 36 years Watson Young
