Introduction

Court Line used the name Errington Court for four ships:

• Errington Court (1) - a cargo ship completed in 1909
• Errington Court (2) - a cargo ship completed in 1925
• Errington Court (3) - a cargo ship completed in 1945 as Empire Favour
• Errington Court (4) - a cargo ship completed in 1957

Errington Court (4) was part of Court Line’s rebuilding programme whose delivery coincided with a slump in freight rates. Despite this she had a service life of 24 years and was broken up in 1981.

Service History

Errington Court (4) was built as part of Court Line’s new building programme started in 1952. Her delivery coincided with a severe drop in freight rates and two further planned ships were cancelled.
