Introduction

Court Line used the name Framlington Court for three ships:

• Framlington Court (1) - a cargo ship completed in 1911
• Framlington Court (2) - a cargo ship completed in 1924
• Framlington Court (3) - a cargo ship completed in 1952

Framlington Court (3) had a service life of 21 years which was ended by her foundering following engine room leaks in 1973. She changed owners and names several times after being sold by Court Line.

Service History

Framlington Court (3) was built as part of Court Line’s new building programme started in 1952. Her delivery coincided with a severe drop in freight rates and two further planned ships were cancelled.

Sinking

Spyros was sunk 240 miles off Madras in position 10.23N 84.17E following engine room leaks.
