Introduction
Google Earth is a free utility program that gives you an aerial view of the Earth's surface. The photographs are of varying age and the definition varies from place to place. Many areas, especially when related to areas of high interest, are very high quality.
Google Earth software can be downloaded from the URL shown in Reference #1.
SN Members have been recording places of interest in the SN thread pointed to in Reference #2.
This Guide assembles and lists the locations of sites mentioned in that thread other than those related to wrecks and tells you how to use them in Google Earth.

How to use Locations in this Guide
TIP: It may help you to print out this page before you start
- Open Google Earth
- Click on Fly To in the Search box (see screenshot 1 below)
- Select the data for one of the locations in the table below using the mouse, and copy it to the clipboard using your favourite method (e.g. right-click menu or CTRL-C)
- Paste the data from the Clipboard into the box into the Google Earth Search screen
- Press the Search button (magnifying glass icon)

That's all there is to it!
Gotchas
- "I was not taken where I was expected or not much happened when I pressed the Search button"
- Make sure that you have captured the entire content including all the symbols and letters or you will have provided an incomplete or incomprehensible reference location
- "The image took ages to load"
- Google Earth is only really usable with a Broadband connection
- If you have a broadband connection and it is slow you should get your Broadband connection checked out
- "The image is poor quality"
- All the locations in this Guide should display in pretty high quality.
- If there is a general problem with the quality of Google Earth images, you should check the settings in Google Earth from the Tools - Options menu. Some typical settings from a working system are shown in Screenshot 2 below
- "The image of my house is out of date and does not show the new East Wing and four-car garage"; or "It always shows the milkman's van parked outside my house."
- Some images are older than others
- Consider approaching a Relationship Counselling forum.
