John henry mohrmann

From SN Guides

John henry Mohrmann ( born December 16, 1857 in Estebrugge, Hannover, Germany ; died February 22, 1916 in Barrhead near Edmonton, Canada) was one of the best Marine painters around 1900. He lived in that time in Antwerp, Belgium. He was my grand grand father. Together with an ant of mine in Barrhead. Leah Joys, we are collecting information of paintings by John Henry. Until now (February 2012) we found more than 440 works by him, of with most with a picture. Paintings of him are in many museums, mostly in Europe; many of those in Belgium and Germany. Also a number of private collection are known by us a.o. Shipping companies: Sloman-Neptun Line, Schiffswerft Barth, CMB in Antwerp ect. See for a lot of his paintings the Werder Collection/ Fine Art Imperium ( by Karsten Bucholz) We are looking for more paintings and may be this Forum is a good method to find more.
