SS Kut Sang

From SN Guides

The SS Kut Sang (4,895 tons) was chartered by the British Admiralty from the China Coast Trade (The Indo-China Steam Navigation Company) to be used as a Transport in the British Merchant Navy during the First World War.

She sailed in convoy to the Mediterranean and thence to India (twice) before returning to the Med. She was on her way to Gibraltar, en route to South America, when she was torpedoed off Cape Palos in Spain just after 20:00 hours on 29 April 1918. She sank within three minutes. Of the 68 crew, only 9 survived.

She was skippered by Captain G.H. Alcock.
