The mighty m.v PORT CAROLINE

Lost efforts a coupla times but appears to be 'saving' OK now . . . .

Hi, my name is Keith Wigglesworth and I sailed as 'lecky' on the "big pommy meat boats" between 1974 and 1978 or there-abouts. There is lotsa info' about " The Caroline " and her sister ship m.v Port Chalmers all over the place so I won't go over old ground here. Except to say, of the dozen or so different ships I sailed on over the period 1974 to 1979 these two are by far the most memorable - they were truly a creation of their time - the 'golden days' of the merchant navy . . .
