I was a Deck Apprentice on "Aulica" June-July 1968 with Capt. George Bennison.
There were two other D/A's, Chris Savage and Ben Cook. We joined in Fredericia, and discharged at Kalundberg and Norre-Sundby. We then loaded at Gothenburg for Bodo and Tromso. I had my 19th birthday sailing up the beautiful Norwegian coast. Leaving Tromso, we heaved anchor, only to find another anchor and chain wrapped on our Port anchor; we had to let our anchor run to dislodge the "stray" anchor. "Aulica" went to dry-dock in Belfast, where she had two experimental LNG tanks installed in 1 Centre tank, but by the time that happened, Ben, Chris and I had joined the "Verconella" in Rotterdam.
