Holy MOG!!!! the amount of times I read about carrying and discharging phosphate to Aussie and NZ makes me wonder if both countries will finish up in opposition to Naurua and Ocean Island. lol

I too sailed on the Chertsey to the Sicily invasion and on the Maycrest immediately afterwards Trevor Jones? was he in the catering and from Porth in Wales

.............The "dischage book" you demonstrated earlier is copy of the ships he served on .. It is possible that he lost his original Discharge book and a copy of his ships were obtained...
