Glen Line ship. Glengyle 2
Hi,
had a distant relative that was a crew member on the ship Glengyle 2 built 1886. Vessel sold to Japanese company 1904 and rename Myoshino Maru. Can any forum members give me any information as to what happened to the ship after change of owners, and or a Japanese shipping group that may be able to supply the info that I seek. A photograph wouldbe welcome. Cheers. Peter |

new image glengyle 2
Hi,
I believe we've just loaded a new image of the glengyle 2 here: http://library24.library.cornell.edu...1~1~947~100016 in Cornell's Kroch Asia Rare and Manuscript collection online image database , Willard D Straight photo album. It's in leaf 5, lower right hand image. You'll have to download the pdf to see the name of the ship clearly ((Miyoshino), Maru Segoshi). (Zoomed in browser view has artifacts). Rhea |
