Help ID this naval ship 1920's Asiatic Fleet
I am trying to ID this ship. I think the photo is from the 1920's and the ship is probably a US Naval ship and either part of the Asiatic Fleet or in the China service. The planes appear to be float planes carried as cargo. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

With those side doors reminds me of a Armed Merchant Ship, or a German Raider.
