Crew of SAR 116

Irish Coastguard S.A.R. Helicopter 116, while on a cover mission for a medi-vac from a British reg. trawler off the west coast went down in Clew Bay area, Lost were Captain Dara Fitzpatrick (Body recovered), Pilot -Mark Duffy, Winchmen -Ciaran Smith and Paul Ormsby still missing. A great loss to all seafarers - lest we forget R.I.P.

Yes that was a terrible tragedy. Condolences to all the families concerned . It was a very bad day for the Irish Rescue Service. May they RIP.

there'll be Shipmates on the deck to greet you.
