RFA Gold Rover

Afternoon, I'm doing some research on the RFA Gold Rover and I have a few questions.

The first being what is likely to happen once the ship has retired? Is it scraped, sold ...

And secondly, is their anyone on here that worked on the ship or was part of building the ship?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

All,
I was Second Officer on the Gold Rover in 1976 and thanks to the generosity of Captain Seymour my wife accompanied me on the Portland summer trip to Gibraltar.
Fantastic memories.

yours aye,

slick

I was aboard for my first ship March 1985, we were guests of the Royal Dutch Navy in Amsterdam for Easter that year, lovely ship and we were basically based in Portland on uk training exercises, I left her in May for the Bayleaf and the Persian Gulf in the Armilla Patrol
