Have been searching for someone ex teviotbank, who might like to see my ' daubing ' of her, in home waters in 1971, and judging by the flash of boot topping, and the state of the derricks - between UK or continental ports. Ring a bell with anyone? Pete, maybe.
Whadoyoumean "Daub" I have aways wished I had an artistic side in my mind but Sadly................Sailed on her sister Shirra in '79 and a good ship she was..........pete
I sailed on Teviotbank after Donaldsons folded and I had to finish my time with another company. I was apprentice on her and the other two were Steve Soady and Bill Boe.
Dom Martin was mate and Capt Whiston was the old man. I think John Hebblewhite was 3/o and Dick Spellacy 2/o. Can't remember who the chief was?
I joined her fitting out and did the first trip maiden voyage, which was short one. Were you aboard/ trouble with nicknames etc is you never who is the person that writes the thread?
Cheers
Sailed on Teviotbank towards the end of her time with Bank Line 78/79. Only ship I sailed on with the bathroom at the end of the alleyway. Would not suit me these days up twice a night.
