I was 3rd mate on Ajana, joined Halifax Nova Scotia late 1961 on MANZ run, i.e. there to Australia, back to Canada, return to Aussie, load ilmenite from Bunbury and deliver it to Hull. 21st birthday two days out of Brisbane. 23 days from Panama, saw not a thing in all that time.
