I sure would like to obtain any info on this ship I left her in 1948 but would like to know her utimate fate, with a pic if possible. Tell

LLANBERIS - Built 1927 by Hawthorn Leslie, Wallsend; 5055 gross tons. Owner - Evan Thomas Radcliffe. Sold 1950ish to B.J. Mauros, Greece, Try this site for more info:

According to the site there may be a picture in volume XVIII - Plate No. 128 of 'Cardiff Yesterday'. It refers to " SS Llanberis, Thomas Radcliffe & Co., Crew, Group Photo ", The introdution page says that all volumes are available in Cardiff library.

yes Dave got it, but the date of the photo is wrong as we were trading between Aussie and Colombo at that time, At six knots with a following wind and sea there was no chance of getting there, Bye for now Tell

Sorry Dave can't place it. there was a watts watts ship tailing us most of the time our paths crossed a lot she was even slower than us. Tell can't recall her name either

Ruud I can't thank you enough, this was my first deep sea vessel, She was a very unhappy ship and a very bad feeder, but this is what nostalgia is all about , I have never been able to get a pic of her although I believe there is one in a Cardiff Museum, once again thanks. Tell.
