I know the Empress state building well, its now a Met Police HQ and transport for London building, next door to earls court exhibition centre. had no idea that it had anything to do with the MOD????

For years it was the HQ building for the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, known colloquially as the "madhouse".

Yes, it was our head office from the sixties to the early nineties, affectionately known as the Mad House.
