Enotria was a name used by Adriatica Line, but this one is too small for the 1951 ship.

That info did put me on to this picture of her when she was with Adriatica Line so she is the same one. But stuck again as to her history when she was the KAWTHER which seems to have Middle East origins to the name.

She had a sister MESSAPIA, here at Genoa 1969.

Remember an old Glen Line ship became SAUDI KAWTHER so possibly from there?

She is indeed the former Enotria.
She was renamed Kawther under the Cypriot flag but apparently never used.
she ran aground just outside Pireuas in the last day of 1979, on her way to the shipbreakers. She was declared a CTL and I suppose that she was soon removed and scrapped.

Im interested to find out what happened to the Enotria...I sailed on her from Venice to Cyprus in 1971 and feel very sad she ran aground in 1979 on her way to the shipbreakers...She obviously wanted a more dignified ending!! Also,what does CTL mean please? Do you know any other details about her please?
