British Ambassador Sinking?

If my memory serves me right what were the circumstances surrounding the sinking of this 42000 ton vessel in the Pacific in the 70's.
Thankfully no one was lost.

If you click on the site below you will see the whole story with contributions from Mike Brown who was aboard her at the time of her sinking.

Derek,
I can remember the surname on the Fleet News crewlists but our "paths " never crosssed.

Hi Derek,
Alvin Wilks passed away a few years back his wife Hazel is alive and well and living in Falmouth she remembers that he was 27 years at sea before being made redundant in 79 she also remembers that he sailed on the Crusader, and Respect amongst others. I have written a bit of info. on this thread
