In this Evenings Shields Gazette, it reports the death of Captain David Mustarde on the 3rd of June He was 69. He was with Denholms for quite some time.

Im very sorry to hear about Dave, I sailed with him on Cheleas Bridge, he was a optomist allways cheerful and had real geordie accent that reminderd me of home. I remember at the end of a meal he would always say to the steward "I'll have a nice cuppa tea" He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

most sorry to hear of daves passing. used to have the occasional scoop with him and my mate bob thornton, another stag line apprentice, when we were up at south shields for second mates, he was one of the good guys.
