Can any one help me in tracing an old barge?
Can any one help me in tracing the History of an old barge?............... My Granddad was a lighterman in the 30s and 40s. Owning 2 barges, one of which was named PHYLLIS after one of my aunts, we know he worked the Thames and also the Solent, are there any sites or anything that can help me with this, i would be very greatfull

Are you talking about sailing barges? or thames barge barges?
