 Hello to all!! Im wondering could anybody help me locate the where abouts of a ship called the Hawthorn or what happenend to her.My father used to be a crew member when she used to sail out of Dublin. The more I find out, the more I will update. Thank you. John

Welcome aboard. Do you mean Hawthorn from Liverpool or Irish Hawthorn, and was it a coaster?

Thanks for the photograph Bob and to all the other replys regarding the Hawthorn (yes, an Irish coaster I berlieve), I'm sorry I was away for a while so couldn't reply sooner. I'm getting the photo checked out to see if this was the boat my father worked aboard. I will let you know. If you or anybody of your collegues have more photos or history (scrapped, istill in service etc.) I would love to have all the info.
Its my fathers 70th birthday soon and am trying to get a picture of the boat so I can frame it and mail to him at home in Ireland. Thanks again Bob and everyone else for their help, I'll stay in touch !!!! Last edited by johnm : 7th January 2006 at 06:12.
