Ahoy John,

Welcome aboard.
Do you mean Hawthorn from Liverpool or Irish Hawthorn, and was it a coaster?

Thanks for the photograph Bob and to all the other replys regarding the Hawthorn (yes, an Irish coaster I berlieve), I'm sorry I was away for a while so couldn't reply sooner. I'm getting the photo checked out to see if this was the boat my father worked aboard. I will let you know. If you or anybody of your collegues have more photos or history (scrapped, istill in service etc.) I would love to have all the info.
Its my fathers 70th birthday soon and am trying to get a picture of the boat so I can frame it and mail to him at home in Ireland. Thanks again Bob and everyone else for their help, I'll stay in touch !!!!
