Does anyone remember FSB01?
I was sent to standby on her for about 10 days. I think it was probably in 1979 and at Southampton but I'm not sure. So, who can remember when she was with Cayzers and where? Don't suppose anyone has any photos of her at this time? |

Further to previous entries, The B & C Clansman magazine No 44; April 1977 has a poor photo and the text:- In January it was announced that B & C had taken over responsibility for the floating supply base vessel FSB01 from Pakhoed Holding N. V. previously B & C held a 45 per cent interest in the vessel. FSB01 is a 31,000 dwt bulk carrier, specially designed for the storage at sea of several thousand tons of steel piped used in the laying of underwater pipelines to bring oil ashore. Originally previously chartered to Shell in the North Sea, the vessel is temporarily laid-up at southampton awaiting new employment.
It is the only reference I can find in the B & C magazines I have. |
