If you find him I would love to know where he's at and how he is. Johhn was one of the finest guys afloat when I was an apprentice. As I have stated before if he had been my boss things may have turned out differently.

John Lowan's Father was a Friend of my Mothers back in the early sixties. Johnny lived close to us. He was a little older than me and ended up being best friends with my Bother In Law Dave (Paddy) Ramsey. We were all Bank Line Apprentices.....
Paddy has since passed on but my Sister has Johnny's address and Email (I think) in Australia. I have put a call into her so I should be able to get you all in contact. I never sailed with him but I am sure he was a great Master as was Paddy.
Perhaps Charlie Stitt knows of his whereabouts.

I only registered on this site today to respond to a posting about a young lad who was killed on the Cedarbank many years ago when I was 2nd Mate in her. I am not too sure how the site works but I would be interested to know who you are and would be happy to establish contact with you.
