Celtic Star
Donald Robertson pic of her off Greenock in October 1946. Built by Lithgows at Port Glasgow as EMPIRE GALAHAD she was completed in 1942 and became CELTIC STAR in 1946. I wonder if this is her on her maiden trip under that name. She was later renamed MURILLO, BOGLIASCO and OCEAN PEACE and scrapped as that in September 1967.

I think that she might have completed her second voyage. She was handed over by MoT to Blue Star on 1 April 1946. From copies of Lloyd's Shipping Index I have here ... Sd Buenos Aires 8 May 1946 for London Sd London 29 June for Buenos Aires Sd Rosario 16 August 1946 for Montevideo Regards Roger
