Lloyd's War Losses WW2 - Vol 1 & 2
Checking Amazon today to get an idea what price I might get for my two copies I was surprise to see that there was only one set for sale "in used acceptable condition" priced £ 648.60, shipping £2.75. At least the shipping charge is modest, mine weigh in at 11lbs 10 ozs, I think the post office charge for that, including insurance, would be massive ?

There's a set for sale on Abebooks for £250.
Or volume 1 for £150. Amazon have fixed prices for postage that are not negotiable which is why we stopped selling through them. Having to maintain a list with special notes about books that should never be sold via Amazon was a pain. This probably accounts for the inflated price. |
