The Steamers Box Boats
Is there no one here who sailed steamship on the then one and one and half Boilered-roof fired: stal laval steam Box boats, and as they where converted had to retrain and sail on the updated Motor ship after the drydock converstion. These where the last days of steam in the 70's as Steam plant running could not match the economics of the diesel engine (Catheral Type Twin Screw- Sulzer-MAN? and others). How did the careers go for those old steam men?
