Merchant Prince
Does anyone have a picture of the "Merchant Prince"? She belonged to Drakes of London. She was torpedoed in the Med in 1943. They managed to beach her and she was refloated. I did my second trip to sea on her in 1955. Went down the West Coast. I think she was chartered to Palm Line. The skipper was a Captain Platten. She had a crew from just about everywhere in the world. It was a trip to remember. She is the only ship I sailed on that I can't locate a picture of.
