Look at a picture of Zante and you will see the wreck in smugglers cove.
Local rumour runs two ways 1. she was smuggling cigarettes and ran aground (in a bay???) 2. Was bought by the ministry of tourism and beached here. I suspect version 2 I have no idea what the identity of this ship is but the deck machinery was Clyde built. Has anyone any information on this wreck?

The first story is absolutely correct. She was the Greek owned Panagiotis when the incident occured, but was a former British-built J. & A. Gardner vessel. I don't remember which one though.

I think that is the Saint Bedan 452grt built in 1937.
Renamed Meropi 66 Charis 74 Nicos 75 Panaghiotis 81 Have not got any information re how she got there though.Stopped getting the Sea-Breezes a few years back when running out of storage space.
