As a young lad in the 1940s, I can remember 2 regular visitors to Pompey power station. I often saw them whilst crossing from Gosport to Pompey, they were the 'Pompey Light' and the
'Emsworth'. Can any-one tell me if either of these ships were in collision with one of the I.o.W diesel ferries as I seem to remember reading about it in the Portsmouth Evening News some time in the 1950s. exiled in Wales for 50 years! Regards to all Portmuthians & Gosportonians Colin |
