There are currently 171 ships in service with the name prefix "Rio", all under various ownership and operation.

What types of ship are they? Are they recent or old vessels? This info might help to provide a better answer.

Phil

That sounds like Empresa Lineas Maritimas Argentinas S.A. (ELMA). The company is no longer around, but they did have a lot of ships with the name prefix "Rio".

Cheers

Shipmate, I reckon Ruud is your man, they likely traded into Rotterdam and he is a veritable mine of information.

Good luck
